Perspectives on the Middle East: Gallery Talks for July and August 2017

Islamic gallery talks

Since February, the Departments of Ancient Near Eastern Art and Islamic Art have hosted gallery talks focusing on specific themes and objects on display. Participants have enjoyed looking closely at objects from the 3rd millennium B.C. to the 19th century A.D. and have had their questions answered in the lively Q&A sessions following each talk.

We will continue these gallery talks throughout the summer. Every Friday afternoon, curators, researchers, and fellows in these departments will give a set of fascinating 10-minute presentations, each followed by a 20-minute Q&A. We hope you'll start your weekend off by joining us for one or more!
